‘Family Flicks’ cinema is a huge hit
Free films were screened during summer holidays
The third instalment of Crompton Place Shopping Centre’s ‘Family Flicks’ pop-up cinema has been another brilliant success this summer.
Running every Wednesday from 25 July – 29 August, more than 1,400 shoppers enjoyed 12 free screenings of favourite films including Paddington 2, Coco, Despicable Me 3, Peter Rabbit, Ferdinand and Duck Duck Goose.
All visitors had to do was present a receipt from the centre for a purchase made up to six days before their chosen viewing. Those who attended more than three screenings received a sweet treat. Bolton Library also hosted interactive story-telling sessions, as well as arts and crafts activities.
Paula Wood, centre manager at Crompton Place, said: “Family Flicks is always hugely popular with our shoppers as it allows everyone to have a brilliant day out shopping and grabbing a bite to eat, with the added bonus of watching a fantastic film together at no extra cost.
“Each screening has been completely full, and we’re really pleased to have been able to entertain the whole family once again this summer. It has been lovely to hear sounds of laughter coming from the cinema and seeing event-goers having a great time at Bolton Library’s events.”
