Shoppers urged to support Small Business Saturday at Crompton Place
29 November 2016
As December fast approaches, alongside the festive merriment and Christmas fun, shoppers are encouraged to support Small Business Saturday at Bolton’s Crompton Place.
Falling on the first Saturday in December – this year Saturday 3 December – the day is an annual recognition of the key role that small businesses play in the communities they serve, their importance to the national retail sector and their significance to local economies.
Crompton Place has a range of small businesses that cater for a wide variety of needs, tastes and styles, something that Centre Manager, Paula Wood, said was key to the ongoing success of the centre.
“We really believe in supporting small businesses” said Paula. “One of the many things we pride ourselves on here at Crompton Place is the range of retail options our shoppers have and our small businesses are a key part of that mix. We know that small businesses make a big difference and as well as being an important part of the shopping options at the centre, they also play a crucial role in the community through creation of jobs and their contribution to Bolton’s economy.”
Small Business Saturday is a grassroots, non-commercial campaign that highlights the best about small business, from Capelli Remi and Huri’s Lash and Brow Bar to Adam’s News and Card and Party Centre, Crompton Place, features a number of successful small businesses
“We have a great range of small businesses, some of whom have been here for years and some that are new but already have a devoted following,” said Paula. “As the festive season progresses we really encourage our shoppers to support the stores across the centre and Small Business Saturday is the perfect time to do that.”
